Pointing damp bricks saved my last deadline

Most crews insist on fully dry bricks before pointing. I went ahead while they were still damp to meet a tight schedule. The wall turned out solid and we finished on time.

What mortar? I used fast-setting on damp bricks, it held up.

Good to know fast-setting mortar worked on damp bricks. I always worry about how well it will stick when things are wet. Had a project last year where regular mortar just washed out. So seeing your success makes me feel better about trying it next time.

Yeah same stuff avery_ross used? I mean that stuff grips like crazy even when it's wet. Idk why regular mortar even exists sometimes.

Ever have that moment where you finally find the right product for a job? Fast-setting mortar on damp bricks sounds like one of those perfect fixes, honestly. Glad it worked out for you.
