My kitchen drawer handle broke and I spent 90 minutes trying to fix it with a paperclip.
The little screw inside the handle stripped out. Figured I'd just rig it with a paperclip bent into a hook. Simple. Ended up trying three different paperclip sizes, a bit of wire from a bread bag, and a tiny zip tie. Each fix lasted about two minutes before the drawer fell open again. Finally drove to the hardware store and bought a new handle for $4. Took five minutes to install. Has anyone else wasted a whole evening on a five dollar problem?

Feel your pain, that's the worst kind of time sink.

Story of my life, honestly.

Ever wonder if we're just bad at noticing when we actually get stuff done? We remember the time sink but forget the five small things we finished first. It's like our brains only log the frustrating parts (which is pretty annoying, honestly). Makes you question if it's really the story of your life or just the only chapter you bother rereading.
