My old instructor told me to always draw the centerline first on a new sheet, no matter what.

I ignored it for a while, but after a messy revision on a big duct layout, I finally tried it. Has anyone else found a simple rule that actually saves a ton of time later?

So what's the actual process, like you just draw one line down the middle before anything else?

Wait you don't start with the center line? That's wild. My art teacher drilled that into us forever ago. How do you even keep things balanced?

Seriously? It's just a line.
