Dropped $500 on a Google Ads specialist and got zero conversions in 2 months

I hired a freelancer off Upwork who promised they could get my local HVAC company leads for $2 per click, but after burning through my budget they just sent me a report saying 'the market is competitive' - anyone else had a bad experience with cheap PPC help?

Read a post the other day from a guy who runs a roofing company and he said the same thing happened to him. Cheap PPC help is almost always a scam or just someone who doesn't know what they're doing. They promise low cost clicks but they don't tell you those clicks are garbage traffic from random people who never buy anything. You're better off spending that money on a local SEO person who actually understands your market or just learning the basics yourself on YouTube.

Huh, so the cheap route usually bites you in the end?
