The 104 degree day in Fresno when the AC in my truck died mid-call

I was heading back from a structure fire in August when my AC gave out, so I rolled down the windows and sat in traffic for 45 minutes with the smell of smoke still on my gear. It made me appreciate how much we lean on small comforts without noticing them, but I also wonder if we'd all be a little tougher if things broke like that more often. Anyone else hit a breaking point that turned into a weird kind of positive?

Heard a hot-car safety expert say discomfort builds better habits, so maybe it's a win.
