Why does nobody talk about the 20 minute reset I do after work instead of a whole cleaning day
Everyone in this group celebrates deep cleaning their house top to bottom and I get it, that feels great, but last Saturday I spent 4 hours scrubbing my apartment in Minneapolis and by Tuesday it looked the same as before I started. So two months ago I tried something different. Every night when I get home from my job at the warehouse I set a timer for 20 minutes and just reset whatever fell apart that day. Dishes, mail pile on the counter, couch blanket, bathroom sink. That is it. No scrubbing floors, no closet overhaul, no big list. My place has stayed more picked up than it ever did after those marathon cleaning days, and I stopped dreading weekends. My sister told me it sounds lazy but honestly the 20 minute thing works better for me than the 4 hour thing ever did. Does anyone else do a short daily reset instead of one big clean, and did it stick for you or did you fall off after a bit?
