Found out my great-grandma's recipe had a typo for 40 years
I was digitizing old family recipe cards last Sunday and noticed the '1 cup flour' in my great-grandma's bread recipe was actually '1/4 cup' if you read the faded handwriting right. Made it the correct way and it finally turned out fluffy instead of brick-like. My mom was shocked, she's been making the dense version since the 80s. Anyone else ever uncover a family recipe mistake like that?
