The 3-day writers block that broke at a gas station in Gary

Last Tuesday I sat in my car at a BP in Gary for 20 minutes with my laptop open, staring at a blank page. I had a story due for an anthology and nothing was clicking, every prompt I tried felt like cardboard. Then a guy knocked on my window asking if I had jumper cables, and after we got his truck running he said 'you look like someone who misses a deadline.' That line got me thinking about a character who keeps getting interrupted, and I wrote 4,000 words that night. Has anyone else had a random stranger accidentally give them a prompt that saved a whole project?
