Bought a $240 ionic dryer and it broke in 3 weeks
Picked up one of those fancy ionic dryers from a shop in Uptown Charlotte, thought it would cut my blowout time in half. Thing died mid-session on a Tuesday, motor just gave up, no warning. I could've stuck with my old Conair that lasted 6 years and saved the cash. Anyone else had a high-end tool crap out fast, or did I just get a lemon?

Man, that's rough. Did you check if the store has any kind of return policy or warranty that might cover a motor dying that fast, or are you just stuck with it? I mean, three weeks is way too quick for something at that price point to just give up, so it might be worth pushing back on the shop before you eat the cost.
