Dropped $400 on a 'creator course' in Austin and the free YouTube version did the same thing
So I paid $400 for a 6 week course called Creator Launchpad here in Austin last spring, thinking it would finally teach me how to grow my channel. Half the lessons were screen recordings of stuff you can find for free, and the private group was just people posting links with no real feedback. Some folks say paying forces you to finish, but I could've bought a $60 mic and learned more from free tutorials. Has anyone here taken a paid creator class that was actually worth the money, or did I just get lucky with a bad one?

Six weeks for $400 and half was screen recordings? That's rough. I took a $200 photo class in Dallas two years ago and the guy spent 45 minutes on how to set your camera to auto mode. The truth is most of these courses are just YouTube playlists with a Zoom call slapped on top. A $60 mic plus free tutorials probably beats 90% of them, so nah, you didn't get lucky, that's just how most of them are.
