A 15 minute call with a subscriber made me rethink my entire upload schedule
Last Tuesday I got a DM from a guy named Marcus who's been watching my channel for about 2 years. He said he almost unsubscribed because I kept posting tutorials on weekdays at noon, but he only had time to watch on Sunday mornings. He said he watched my last 3 videos in one sitting and felt like I was hiding my best work in a time slot nobody could see. I checked my analytics after that call. My average watch time on weekday posts was 4 minutes. Sunday posts were 9 minutes. Same content, same editing style, just different day. I never once asked my audience when they actually watched. I just assumed evenings were best because that's what the big YouTubers do. Marcus said he saved my videos to a playlist for weeks before he finally got to them. That hit me because I spent 6 hours on each video and nobody saw them for 6 days. I moved my upload to Sunday 8am this week and my first 24 hour views doubled. Has anyone else changed their schedule based on one viewer's comment and seen a real difference? I'd love to hear what time slots work for your audience because I clearly had it wrong.

So you learned your audience exists before noon. Big brain move.
