Hot take: Debunking a conspiracy doesn't end the belief, it just moves the goalposts
Every time I see someone drop a solid fact check in here, the original poster just shifts to a new angle. I spent 3 hours last night on a thread about the moon landings. I showed NASA telemetry data, rock samples, and even the retroreflector experiments. The guy said 'but what about the missing tapes?' Then I explained the tapes were overwritten, a well known fact. He said 'but why did they overwrite them?' Its a loop. You can't win with evidence alone. Has anyone else noticed this pattern where debunking actually makes believers dig in harder, not softer?
