Watched a senior tech check PSU voltage with a multimeter instead of trusting the BIOS readout
I was bench testing a client's PC last Tuesday at our shop in Boise and had already told them the power supply was fine based on the BIOS showing 12.1V on the 12V rail. The senior tech walked over, hooked up a multimeter to a Molex connector under load and showed me it was actually sagging to 11.3V, which was causing random shutdowns under gaming loads. How many of you still trust software voltage readings, or did you learn this the hard way too?
