Lost comms at 40 feet on a pipeline inspection in Galveston and had to fall back on line pulls
Working a pipeline inspection off Galveston in murky water, my comms cut out around 40 feet and the topside guy lost my signal, so I switched to the old pull signal we'd drilled the week before. Took two tugs to get him to send the spare, then I finished the visual and surfaced with the footage intact. What's your backup plan when the comms box goes dead mid-dive, and do you practice it or just hope it works?
