Watching kids at a con made me rethink how I collect
Last weekend at the Charlotte Comic Con I saw a group of maybe 12 year olds trading comics like they were baseball cards. No slabs, no graded cases, just raw issues being passed around and argued over. It hit me that I've spent $800 on a graded X-Men #94 that just sits in a box, while these kids were having more fun with a $3 issue of Spider-Man. Has anyone else stepped back from the grading and preservation side of things and just enjoyed the stories again?
