TIL I've been reading comics wrong for 20 years and my buddy in Denver called it out
So my buddy Marcus, who lives out in Denver, comes to visit last weekend and sees my long boxes stacked by my reading chair. He pulls out a Batman issue from 2016 and asks why I dog-ear the corners. I'd been doing that since I was a kid, folding the bottom corner down to mark my spot like a bookmark. He just stared at me and said "dude, that's why half your keys are beat to hell." I pulled out my copy of Saga #1, which I thought was near mint, and sure enough the corner was folded and there was a crease running 2 inches up the cover. So now I've got about 40 issues with bent corners that I thought were totally fine. How do you guys mark your spot in a single issue, or do you just read the whole thing in one go?
