Dropped $240 on a coding bootcamp prep course and learned less than from free videos
Last month I paid $240 for a beginner coding prep course that promised to get me ready for a bootcamp in 6 weeks. The whole thing was pre recorded videos from like 2019 and half the links in the lessons were dead. I finished it in 9 days because I just sped through everything at double speed. Then I started watching free stuff on YouTube and learned more about loops and functions in one weekend than I did in that whole course. I'm not saying all paid courses are bad but this one was just recycled content with a nice website. I should've searched around first before handing over my card. Did anyone else get burned by a prep course like this or am I just bad at picking them?
