Foreman said tapping fluid is a scam and we should just use WD-40, then the thread gauge humbled him in front of the whole shop

We had a guy pull the same thing with brake cleaner on aluminum. Said the taps were just cheap and the fluid was a waste. He galled a 1/2-13 hole so bad we had to drill it out and go bigger. What finally got through to him was when the old timer handed him a can of the cheap stuff and made him tap the next six holes side by side with his way. Told him to feel the difference in the wrench himself instead of just arguing about it.
