My barber in Tulsa told me to skip the tourist riverwalk and try a diner on 11th Street, but I'm not sure he was right
Marcus cut hair in Tulsa for 22 years and swore the riverwalk was just for folks passing through, so I walked 11th Street on a Tuesday morning instead. Half the spots he named were boarded up and the diner he loved closed in 2019, but I did find a taqueria in a old gas station that might be the best food in the city. So do you trust a local's tip even when the place closed down, or is a closed spot a sign the whole tip is stale? What's the last tip a local gave you that went sideways?
