The homeowner who watched me work for 2 hours and never said a word

Last month I was doing a Level 2 sweep in Poughkeepsie and this older guy just sat in his recliner staring at me the whole time, not even a hello. He finally got up when I was packing the truck and just said 'you missed a spot' then closed the door, pretty sure he was messing with me but it still stuck in my head. Anyone else get weird silent clients like that or is it just my luck?

Man that reminds me of this time I had a guy watch me trim his hedges for like 3 hours without blinking, then when I finished he handed me a single can of warm Sprite and said "that'll do" and went inside. I still don't know if he was being nice or if it was some kind of test. Silent clients are honestly creepier than the ones who yell at you, at least you know where you stand with a yeller. My theory is they're just lonely and don't know how to talk to people, so watching someone work is their version of company. Either way I always double check everything now because that "you missed a spot" comment would haunt me forever too.
