Switched from a wire brush to those poly brushes on clay flues last month, night and day

I picked up a set of poly brushes after a guy in Tulsa told me they quit scratching up the flue tile, and I cringed thinking about how many liners I probably scuffed over the years with stiff wire. Did 6 jobs with them so far and the tiles still look smooth, no gouges at all. Anybody running these on older clay flues, do they hold up past a few seasons or am I gonna be buying new ones every year?
