It's wild how often we put up with the wrong tool for the job just to save a few bucks up front. You end up paying for it later with your body or your time. That initial savings gets wiped out by the extra effort and wear on you. Seeing the right tool work like that really shows the value in buying quality for things you use all the time. It's a lesson that applies to way more than just stretching carpet.

Oh man, tell me about it... I used a cheap knee kicker for one whole job and felt like I'd been in a car crash. @skyler_jackson27 is right, that "savings" just turns into an ache that won't quit. My back was making noises I didn't know it could make. The power stretcher felt like cheating in comparison, like the carpet just laid itself down.
