A 30 year installer in Kansas City got me rethinking my stair nose cuts
He said he cuts his stair noses a quarter inch long and trims them after the pad goes down, which sounds backwards but he swears it kills the gaps at the riser. Has anyone here tried leaving the nose long like that?
