The $200 certification course that wasted my whole Saturday

I dropped $200 on a PMP prep course in Austin because everyone said it was the only way to move up. The instructor just read slides for 8 hours and I learned more from free YouTube videos. Has anyone else had better luck with cheaper or self-paced study options, or is this just how it goes?

Ugh, that is SO frustrating. I feel for you, seriously. Spending that kind of money and a whole Saturday just to have someone read the slides is such a waste. I had a similar thing happen with a different cert a few years back, and I was honestly mad at myself for not just doing the self-paced route. The truth is, a lot of these courses are just about the money, not actually teaching you anything useful. You definitely made the right call noticing that the free stuff was better.
