Why does nobody mention the REI return bin at the Boulder store has a busted zipper problem
I was at the REI in Boulder last Saturday returning a headlamp and noticed at least 6 tents in the used gear bin with the same issue, all returned within 30 days. Every single one had a zipper pull that separated from the track on the rainfly, model year 2023. If you bought a tent from that store between March and June, check your rainfly zipper before your next trip.

My buddy picked up one of those 2023 tents from the Boulder store back in April. First trip out was a rainy weekend in RMNP and the rainfly zipper split wide open the second night. He thought he was just unlucky and bought a new zipper pull kit to fix it himself. Then he ran into two other guys at a trailhead with the exact same tent and the exact same break. Sounds like a bad batch that never got caught.
