Bought a $9 headlamp at a gas station in Ely, and it outlasted my $70 one on a 4 night trip
The cheap one ran 4 nights on the same batteries while my fancy one died on night 2, so now I want to know if anyone else has a cheapo piece of gear that keeps embarrassing the expensive stuff?

Battery life isn't really about price, since a dimmer beam just draws less power.
