My old boss told me to stop sanding past 180 grit on paint grade, and he was dead right
Spent two hours taking a maple face frame to 320 on my first solo job in Tacoma and the primer soaked in so uneven it looked blotchy under the finish coat. Now I stop at 180, scuff with 220 between coats, and my paint jobs come out flat. Anybody else get this same talk when they were starting out?
