Rant: I stopped writing full sentences in my daily log for 2 weeks and my to do list finally got done
I always felt guilty shortening stuff because it looked messy, but after 14 days of just doing "dentist 2pm" and "call mom" with no extra words, I finished 9 out of 10 tasks a day instead of my usual 4, so has anyone else found that cutting the fluff actually makes the system work better?
Had a buddy who did the exact same thing with his grocery lists, weird I know, but he swore by it. He used to write "pick up organic free range chicken for Thursday dinner" and then wonder why he never went to the store. Switched to "chicken" and suddenly he's shopping twice a week and saving money. The extra words were just his brain stalling out before it even started. Sounds dumb but the shorter version tricks you into thinking the task is easy enough to just do.
