Cancelled the $16 streaming plan last month, got a $4.99 offer four days later
So I finally cut the cord on our main streaming plan a few weeks back because $16 a month felt dumb when we barely used it. Four days after I cancelled, they emailed me a win-back deal for $4.99 a month for six months. I called their support line on a Tuesday and asked if I could stack that rate onto an annual plan instead, half joking. The rep said no at first, then came back after a hold and gave me the year at $5.50 a month. I wrote the whole thing down in a notes app and it came to $66 for the year, versus $192 if I had just kept paying full price. Turns out the first no is usually just a script. Has anyone tried this same move on car insurance or internet, and did it actually work or did they call your bluff?
