Hostel in Krakow had a free breakfast trick I didn't expect

Stayed at a place near the old town last spring and they served leftovers from the previous night's dinner as 'continental breakfast'. It was actually great, saved me about $40 over 4 days on food. Anyone else found hostels doing this kind of meal reuse?
