Speed gets houses built when people need them. Waiting for bulletproof durability isn't always realistic. Codes exist for a reason, they ensure basic safety. Plus, not every buyer needs a fortress, just a decent place to live. Calling it dangerous ignores the economic pressures everyone faces.
