A nursery owner in Eugene told me to stop misting my succulents, and it went against everything I read online
I used to mist my echeveria and jade plants every few days because like four care guides said it mimics morning dew. Then last spring a woman who has run a succulent nursery in Eugene for 19 years told me misting is the number one killer she sees, since it wets the leaves without ever soaking the roots. I switched to full drenches every 10 to 14 days and lost zero plants over the last 8 months, which is better than my old record by a lot. Has anyone else had a grower tell them the opposite of what the internet says? I want to know if I just got lucky.
