Watched a binder in Portland round her corners before casing in, and I felt dumb about my last 40 books
Honestly I always trimmed corners after gluing the case on because thats how I saw it done in a YouTube video back in 2019. She did it with the boards still flat and a fresh knife, said "the cover forgives a sloppy cut, the pastedown does not," and her corners came out sharp with zero fuss. Tbh I redid a test book that night and it was night and day. Anyone else here cut corners post-casing or am I the only one who ran it backwards this long?
