Hand-marbling paper felt like too much hassle... but trying it out on a gift book made me a convert.

Nah, I gotta disagree on this one. Tried it once and the mess was unreal, just never felt worth the cleanup time for me. My stuff came out looking blurry and the colors all bled together anyway. Some crafts are a pass for me.

My sister's birthday shirt came out all splotchy and faded. I stick to less messy hobbies now.

Ugh, I saw a whole blog post about that! They said the trick is to soak the shirt in vinegar water first, something about setting the fabric. But honestly, that sounds like even more steps and more mess. I'm with you on skipping it.
