TIL I burned $180 on a hydraulic press brake die set that never once fit my little 12 ton shop press
Bought it at a swap meet in Akron two winters back because the seller swore it would drop right in, and it sat on my bench for a season and a half before I finally measured the shank and realized I had been hacksawing shims like an idiot the whole time, so what do you all check first before buying used tooling, the bore or the ram travel?
