Did a friend telling me my watch order was wrong actually fix my binge problem?
I always watched whatever was hot on Netflix the night it dropped, so I'd start three shows in a week and finish none of them. My friend Dana watched me do this for a month and finally said "you treat every show like homework, that's why you quit at episode 3." I tried her way for 6 weeks, one show at a time start to finish before touching anything new, and I got through way more stuff but missed out on all the live group chats. So which is better, binge one show all the way through or juggle a few and risk dropping all of them? I honestly can't tell if Dana saved me or ruined my Sunday nights.
Dana basically turned your TV into a to-do list, and that works for some people but not for the group chat crowd. The real issue is that live chats have a shelf life, so those shows you skipped to stay loyal to one series? Nobody's talking about them by the time you get there. Split the difference: pick one show you watch alone start to finish, and keep one weekly show you only watch live with everyone else.
