Watched my grandpa's handwriting go from shaky to steady after he started drawing again at 82
My grandpa is 82 and lives in Tucson. About a year ago his handwriting on birthday cards got so bad we could barely read it. He has a tremor in his right hand that started around 2019. His doctor suggested he try drawing or coloring to help with hand control, so my mom got him a sketchbook and some pencils last summer. I visited him at Christmas and his handwriting on the card he gave me was completely different. The letters were clear, the lines were straight, and his signature looked like it did back in the 90s. He told me he draws for about 20 minutes most mornings, just simple stuff like birds and trees in his backyard. I did not expect that kind of change in under 6 months. Has anyone seen something like this happen with a family member, where a small daily habit made that big a difference?
