The airport sushi that rewired my whole food safety brain

Got sick from a $14 salmon roll at JFK last January, spent 8 hours in the terminal bathroom. Now I won't touch raw fish anywhere that isn't within walking distance of a coast. Has anyone else had a travel food disaster that stuck with them this long?

Damn, that's brutal, lol. Sounds like JFK gave you a free colon cleanse with a side of trauma. I respect the new rule though, my rule is just "no airport sushi ever" because I value my stomach more than my travel budget.
