About 3 months ago I was at a birthday party in Charlotte and this girl named Dana was there. My buddy Marcus pulled me aside and said I had no shot with her, so I spent the whole night just making small talk about her dog. Two weeks later I ran into her at the same coffee shop on South Blvd and she asked why I never texted her, because she thought I was the only guy there who did not try too hard. We have been dating for 10 weeks now and Marcus keeps saying he called it. My bad take was believing him instead of just asking her out that night.
