A guy at the DMV swore the dealer warranty was a scam, and I still disagree
I was waiting at the DMV in Boise back in April and got talking to this guy named Pete about our trucks. He went off on how the extended warranty on his F-150 was a total ripoff and he would never buy one again. But here is the thing, he admitted he skipped the $60 transfer fee when he sold the truck, so the coverage died with him and he ate a $1,200 repair on the rear axle himself. That is not the warranty failing, that is him not reading the paperwork. Maybe it is just me, but a lot of the hate comes from folks who never checked what the plan actually covered before they signed. Has anyone here actually used their warranty on a repair over $1,500?
