The dispatcher in Denver promised me a pickup window then vanished for 3 days
I had my Tacoma shipped from Denver to Seattle last month and the whole thing turned into a circus because of one guy. When I booked, this dispatcher named Ray swore up and down the truck would grab it within 48 hours, and he even wrote "guaranteed" in the quote email, which I stupidly believed. Day one nothing. Day two I call and he tells me the driver is "finishing a run in Cheyenne" and will be there that evening. Day three, still sitting in my driveway, and now Ray stops answering his cell entirely. I finally got the actual carrier's number off the DOT record myself and the lady there laughed and said Ray hadn't booked anything, he just farms jobs out to whoever picks up the phone. The car did get picked up on day five, but those three dead days cost me a $180 rental and a lot of sleep. Has anyone else dealt with a broker who just disappears once the deposit clears, and did you get anything back from them?
