Serious question, open carrier or enclosed for my dad's 66 Impala from Phoenix to Seattle
Had to ship my dad's 66 Impala from Phoenix up to Seattle after he passed and I sat on quotes for two weeks. Open carrier was $850 and enclosed was $2,100, same 4 day window on both. Went enclosed because the car has original paint and I was scared of rock chips the whole 1,400 miles. Driver sent me pics at every stop and it showed up with zero new marks on it. For a driver quality car I would probably save the $1,250 next time, but for this one I don't regret it. Did any of you pay the enclosed price and feel like it was worth it, or did you go open and have it come through clean?
