A customer's comment about valve covers changed my whole approach

That customer's comment made me realize I was treating every leak like it had to be the worst case. The PCV valve was a $12 part and a 10 minute swap. Now I always start with the cheap stuff and actually verify before I quote labor. It's made my estimates more honest and my customers trust me more. Anyone else get schooled by a customer in a way that stuck with them?
