Can we talk about choosing the cheaper apartment back in 2019 and what it cost me
Back in 2019 I had two places lined up in Fort Worth, one for $950 with a washer and dryer, the other for $780 with a laundry room down the hall. I went with the $780 one to save about $2,000 over the lease, and I spent every Sunday dragging a hamper down three floors. The kicker was the AC unit that quit every July, so I was calling my own contacts at 11pm to borrow gauges. Saving that money felt smart for about 4 months. What's the dumbest thing you've pinched pennies on that came back around?
