That $60 rope wrench clone finally gave up on a 90 footer today
Bought a knockoff rope wrench off eBay back in March for 60 bucks, figured it'd be a fun experiment. Worked great for a few months, but today I was up in a tall red oak doing a removal and the cam just slipped, no warning. I had a backup hitch cord so no disaster, but my heart definitely skipped a beat. Has anyone else had a budget tool fail at the worst moment, or am I just cheap?

Man, that's rough. I've had cheap gear fail on me too, always keep a backup.
