That thermal camera app on my phone actually found the bad relay
After 20 years of trusting my hand on a compressor line, I pulled up that $8 FLIR attachment last week on a fridge in Austin and it pinpointed a stuck relay in 2 minutes, has anyone else ditched the old touch test for one of these?

Watched my buddy Danny chase a ghost AC issue for two days last summer. He finally borrowed a similar camera and found the compressor contactor was barely arcing, all in about 10 minutes of looking. He still keeps his hand on the lines out of habit, but now he pulls the phone out first thing. It's kinda wild how quick it nails something you'd normally guess at.
