That rental fridge in Mesa made me change my whole recovery method

I drove 45 minutes to a duplex off Gilbert Road for a no-cool call, and the evaporator was a solid block of ice with the drain line frozen clear through. The tenant said it's been doing this every 3 weeks for months, so I stopped using my heat gun and started flushing the drain with hot water and a turkey baster first, then checking the door seal for air leaks. How many of you actually pull the evaporator cover before doing a defrost cycle on a repeat offender?

Learned that trick the hard way too, now I always check that drain line before touching the heat gun.
