TIL the ticket scanner at the Ohio State Fair gate picked my lane for me
Stood in line at the fairgrounds in Columbus last August and the gate scanner sorted people into lanes by some hidden score. It sent me to the slow lane three times while folks with paper tickets walked right through. I watched a mom with a stroller get waved ahead of me and I just stood there fuming. Now I buy paper tickets at the booth every single time, even if it costs a dollar more. Does anyone else get sorted into the "wrong" lane by these gate systems at events?
