My phone's keyboard started predicting my ex's name after 3 weeks, and now we have to live together
I know this sounds dramatic but hear me out. About a month ago I noticed the swipe keyboard on my phone would suggest my ex's name every time I typed the letter J, even though I hadn't messaged her in almost 6 weeks. I figured it was just cached data, so I cleared the keyboard history and went on with my life. Three weeks later it happened again, and this time I realized the prediction was coming from my photo app tagging her face in old pictures I never deleted. Here's the part that bugs me: the phone decided she was still relevant to my daily life based on face recognition data I didn't even know was being used that way. It's not like I can opt out of the tagging without losing my whole photo library search. I finally turned off smart predictions entirely and my typing feels slower now but at least I'm not getting jump scared by a ghost of a relationship every time I text my mom. Has anyone else noticed their phone pulling old contacts or faces into keyboard predictions without you asking for it?
