My Instagram algorithm showed me my own divorce post from 2019 last week

Scrolling through my feed and out of nowhere, there's a photo of me and my ex-wife smiling at our anniversary dinner, right after I'd spent 3 hours crying about the whole thing. Anyone else have the algorithm dredge up something you'd literally buried just to mess with your head?

Deleted the app for a month and suddenly the algorithm forgot I ever had an ex. Best thing I ever did for my mental health.

Showed me a picture of our old apartment like it was just a fun memory. I swear the algorithm knows exactly which wounds to reopen right when you're feeling okay. It's wild how it can track your location and suddenly remind you of the coffee shop you two used to go to every Saturday morning. Deleting the app for a bit sounds like a solid move honestly, might have to try that myself.
